Areas of Treatment
The first ten years of my professional career were spent working in the Adolescent Inpatient program at Dorothea Dix Hospital. In my capacity both as a staff psychologist and program director, I conducted multiple assessments, individual and family therapy, group therapy, supervision of psychology interns, and administrative duties. In addition to the acute crisis unit, I worked in the long-term treatment unit with teenagers who were in a residential program for one to four years. During this time, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of problems, often times with severe psychiatric issues and very difficult family situations. This setting offered the unique opportunity of working with a great breadth of population and depth of treatment. It has been invaluable in my work as an outpatient therapist.
For the past twenty years in my private practice I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children with a broad range of diagnoses, in individual, marital, and family therapy. I am currently expanding my practice to include the treatment of sexually related dysfunctions and sexual disorders. Typical problems I work with may include:
